Anyone who has ever played an online game in recorded humanity will have at one point or another come across an online community that just does no favours for itself, or online gaming in general. Whether it?s players glitching, cheating, or simply being petulant, annoying scumbags, there?s plenty of ways the human experience ? which is ironically supposed to make gaming more socially acceptable and ?healthy? ? can often be the worst part of jumping online. Here are 8 online gaming communities that we?ve suffered through, hampering our enjoyment of otherwise thoroughly entertaining games.

The WWE video games don?t exactly have the most vibrant online communities, but they do have a dedicated contingent of idiots who make their best efforts to render the game unplayable. You can?t play through more than a few matches before someone will ?rage quit? just as they are about to lose, but that?s really the least of it; it?s the cheap players who play the game with the skill of an infant. If they?re getting beaten, they?ll run away and start running around the ring incessantly to get away from you, and on the off-chance they do manage to start an offensive strike, they?ll just perform the same reliable move on you over and over again.
Also, WWE 12 is endowed with some unfortunate glitches that still have yet to be rectified, namely that if a wrestler is swung into a certain part of the crowd barrier, they will essentially be stuck there for a while, giving your opponent ample time to make short work of you, while more honourable players ? such as myself ? will deliberately avoid using it, because where?s the satisfaction?
It takes the annoyance that?s typical of beat ?em up games online, and stretches it out ? given the slower pace and longer match time ? making for a frequently infuriating experience that?s only barely offset by the occasionally awesome online Royal Rumbles you might partake in.
